Overview
LibreNMS Mobile is an open source mobile application that connects to self-hosted LibreNMS network monitoring instances. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the app handles and how it is managed.
Data Collection
We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your data to us or any third party.
The app connects directly to your own self-hosted LibreNMS server. All communication is between your device and your server. No data passes through any intermediary service operated by Config Services Ltd or any other party.
Data Stored on Your Device
The app stores the following information locally on your device only:
- Server URL(s): The address of your LibreNMS instance(s)
- API Token(s): Your LibreNMS API authentication token(s)
- App Preferences: Theme selection and auto-refresh interval settings
Server URLs and API tokens are stored using your device's secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android EncryptedSharedPreferences). App preferences are stored in local device storage.
This data never leaves your device except when communicating directly with your LibreNMS server(s).
Network Communication
The app communicates exclusively with the LibreNMS server(s) you configure. These connections are made using the URL and API token you provide. The app supports both HTTP and HTTPS connections. We strongly recommend using HTTPS to ensure your data is encrypted in transit.
No analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or tracking services are included in the app. No network requests are made to any server other than the LibreNMS instance(s) you configure.
Third-Party Services
The app does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. There are no ads. There are no in-app purchases.
Data Sharing
We do not share any data with third parties because we do not have access to any of your data.
User Accounts
The app does not require you to create an account with us. Authentication is handled entirely by your LibreNMS server using API tokens that you generate and manage.
Data Retention and Deletion
All data is stored locally on your device. You can remove all stored data at any time by:
- Using the "Remove All Servers" option in the app's Settings screen
- Removing individual servers via the Settings screen
- Uninstalling the app from your device
Once removed, no data is retained anywhere.
Children's Privacy
The app is not directed at children under the age of 18 and does not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
Open Source
LibreNMS Mobile is open source software. The source code is publicly available for review, ensuring full transparency about how the app operates and handles data.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this privacy policy, the revised version will be made available in the app's source code repository and the updated effective date will be noted at the top of this document.
